2024.9.14(Sat) 〜 11.10(Sun)
Ishizaki Koyo is a talented Japanese-style painter of modern Kyoto who painted the elegant paintings of flowers and birds. Koyo, who was also famous as a mountaineer, painted many paintings of flowers and birds in tropical landscapes, such as Tropical Spring and Brilliant Rain. Koyo, who was an early admirer of Ito Jakuchu, studied a wide range of old paintings and used his knowledge in his own production. The exhibition aims to present a complete picture of Koyo’s artistic achievement by displaying his representative works in one show, with a focus on the collection of the Fukumitsu Art Museum in the city of Nanto, where Koyo was born.
